About the job

Due to company growth we are currently recruiting for a qualified and experienced Trainer/Assessor to assist our established Training Team with our Rail and Engineering delivery. You will manage the successful delivery of training by providing the required leadership, oversight and validation for yourself and your learners. Liaising with all key stakeholders so that the required training is delivered in a safe and timely manner and to the required standards, while meeting the needs of the customer.
You are required to maintain currency in the latest training technologies and delivery solutions, supporting their introduction into the business where applicable, and promoting GNR Training to the wider industry.
The main purpose of the role is:
•To provide induction, programme overview as well as advice and guidance to learners who are wishing to undertake our courses.
•To assess learners’ progress and maintain records of assessments of learning carried out.
•To deliver, train and assess knowledge, skills and behaviours within the occupational area to learners.

•Must have vast experience in area you will train and assess.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and I.C.T) 

  • Experience delivering high quality training in a variety of environments including but not limited to classroom, practical based or remote delivery.

  • The ability to manage, lead and motivate learners 

  • A proven record of meeting customer and stakeholder requirements

  • Demonstrate the ability to develop and mentor individuals

  • Have practical and vocational experience circa 2 years Railway front line

  • Hold a recognised qualification in engineering or hold railway applicable skills and knowledge work history

  • Demonstrate the ability to lead the application of Health and Safety and other applicable standards

  • Experience in developing training solutions to enhance learning delivery

  • The ability to lead continuous improvement activities

  • Display the ability to work flexibly, to plan and coordinate tasks and work within time and budgetary requirements.

  • Willing to travel

  • Hold a Level 3 Certification in Assessing Vocational Achievement or equivalent (CAVA/TAQA/A1/D32/33)

Desirable  

  • NVQ Level 4 in Learning and Development

  • Qualification or experience in Internal Verification

  • Knowledge of OFSTED and ESF/AEB frameworks

  • Experience in an adult learning environment including knowledge of Specific Learning Difficulties
